Airport Handling Expands with Seven-Year License to Operate at Rome Fiumicino Airport

Airport Handling, a subsidiary of global air and travel services provider dnata, has been granted a seven-year ground handling license by Aeroporti di Roma to operate at Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). The company plans to commence operations in the second quarter of 2024 and will provide ramp and passenger services to airlines in Rome.

Boeing Statement on 737-9 Inspections

Boeing have issued the following statement:
“Safety is our top priority and we deeply regret the impact this event has had on our customers and their passengers. We agree with and fully support the FAA’s decision to require immediate inspections of 737-9 airplanes with the same configuration as the affected airplane. In addition, a Boeing technical team is supporting the NTSB’s investigation into the recent event. We will remain in close contact with our regulator and customers.”
